Pirate and so-called Likedeeler (those who share equally) Klaus Störtebecker, well hated by the Hanse (Northern medievial trade association) moneybags, was beheaded in Hamburg in 1401. We have dedicated this solidarity coffee to an early social-revolutionary activist against the capitalist order of the seas and the world.

We are reducing the proportion for the financing of Café Libertad Kollektiv's work to increase the solidarity funds' share.

In line with this idea, 20 euro cents per pack sold go to cooperatives in resistance and left-wing or social revolutionary projects worldwide. Hence, this is the first coffee supporting not only projects in the countries of origin but also here, in the heart of the beast, and all over the world – in the spirit of a fundamental Zapatista idea: that real solidarity with Chiapas rebels is realised ideally by an own rebellion at home.
